How are my /blog/ pages or /shop/ pages doing?
If your site has a lot of pages, it might be difficult to keep track of the bigger trends. That is why PowerSearchConsole introduces Site Sections. We look at all your Page URLs and summarize its performance by folder (directory).

Monitor your sections
On your Site Summary, there is a mini report for site sections.
You can toggle the tabs to view any of the following Site Section reports:
- Top Sections
- Sections trending up (more clicks)
- Sections trending down (less clicks)
- New Sections (first clicks ever)
- Under “More Reports”:
- Sections with more impressions
- Sections with less impressions
- Sections with impressions for the first time
Section email reports
It is possible to set up multiple types of Email Reports for site sections:
Option 1: Summary email of site sections
You can choose the email to display either
- the top sections that received the most clicks
- the sections trending up (receiving more clicks than before)
- the sections trending down (receiving less clicks than before)
Your email will show the first 5 sections. Click the button to go to the full list in the Data Explorer.
Option 2: Email report for a specific section.
Send a dedicated report directly to the team member that is responsible for a section of your site.
Section Alerts
Set up SEO Alerts for entire site sections by applying the “URL contains” filter to /blog/ or /products/. This way, only pages that contain that specific folder will be considered when monitoring the alert. This is mostly useful to monitor drops in total clicks across a section.
Multiple levels
Site sections are supported multiple folders deep. Let’s assume the following URL:
mysite.com/shop/products/laptops/macbook-air.html
This page will contribute to the total metrics of each of the following site sections:
- /shop/
- /shop/products/
- /shop/products/laptops/
